Come In and Try Out Fencing!

Mini Musketeers
Starting in September, we’ll be offering a new class for 6-8 year olds. The class will focus on coordination, basic footwork, and technique.

Mini Musketeers will meet Tuesdays, and Thursdays, from 5pm-6pm, and cost $75 per month.

Introductory Level

The student learns the history, terminology, and techniques required for further instruction. The one month program will integrate the basics of footwork and blade work. Instruction is given one hour twice a week beginning in the first week of the month. After completion of the one month program, the student is allowed to graduate to the intermediate level.

Classes are ages 8 and up, every Monday and Wednesday from 5-6 pm, or Tuesday and Thursday from 4-5 pm.

Intermediate Level (Foil and Saber)

The intermediate level is an ongoing program designed to further the knowledge and training of the student. The intermediate level focuses on the training of physical and mental techniques. Instruction is given twice a week, for one hour. The time is split between footwork / conditioning, blade work, and free-fencing. Students graduate to the advanced level after an evaluation.

Foil classes meet Monday through Thursday, from 4-5 or 5-6, pick two. Saber classes are every Monday and Wednesday 4-5 pm.

Adult Beginners Class

Beginners' class designed for adults to learn about fencing, while getting a great workout. Students are taught the basics of fencing, and exposed to all three weapons. After class, students are encouraged to remain and fence in open bouts.

Adult classes are every Saturday from 9-10 am.

Advanced Footwork

Advanced footwork sessions are designed to increase a fencer's technique, while building stamina, strength, and flexibility. Sessions are open to all fencers and students after completing intermediate level fencing. Sessions are instructed 4 times a week, for one hour. Fee for sessions are included in monthly dues.

Footwork is Monday – Thursday from 6-7 pm.

Advanced Level

At the advanced level the student has begun competing in local and national competitions. Instruction at this level is focused on distance, timing, situational tactics, and tournament preparation. The student's instruction at this level may be supplemented with private instruction.

Foil and saber classes are every Monday and Wednesday from 7-8 pm. Epee classes are every Tuesday and Thursday from 7-8 pm.

*If you cannot make these time slots, do not panic! We are making this a soft-split, meaning we will still welcome any age into any of the groups (and allow siblings to remain together) – these are just our recommendations.
